About Me
My Story.
“While growing up, she loved dance and gymnastics. A daredevil with no fear – at 4 she grabbed a garbage bag, climbed to the top of the swing-set/playhouse and jumped off using the garbage bag as a parachute. She loves trying new things and the more of a challenge the better.” – Mom
I have always loved performing for people, but cheering at the Buffalo Bills game and dancing in the Disney Christmas parade would be the first defining moments when I decided I wanted to be a performer.
It was when I discovered circus arts, I narrowed my focus on how I wanted to entertain people. I love the challenge and then the excitement created by performing for people. It’s a lot of hard work but the reward of having people enjoy the show makes it worthwhile. When I am training, even though it is hard work, I am always having fun and enjoying every minute of it.
My favourite troops are Cirque du Soleil and the Canadian Dream Circus while O and Ovo being my favourite performances. Performing with either company would be my ultimate dream job.
Presently (just turning 19), I am coaching and training at Studio Cirque, up to 8 hours per weekday. Other training throughout the week consists of private lessons at Aerial Addicts, fitness training at REPS gym, and private lessons at Forest City Gymnastics. During my weekends, if I’m not travelling to shows or auditions, I’ll be involved in local performances which can take up to 12 hours per day.
My goals are to stay in shape for auditions, continue learning, and performing in shows to gain as much experience as possible.
Fitness
Staying in shape to me means increasing your strength, endurance, and flexibility. Having a consistent schedule has to be a priority for anyone in the performing arts.
Learning
I am constantly learning new skills or refining past maneuvers. Each instructor can show you the smallest technique that can completely polish your complete routine.
Performing
Every manager, director, and choreographer has been educated differently. The more shows you work within, the more experience and styles you’ll learn.
